The Starhat
Many people stop me on the street to ask about my hat — and thank you for the kind compliments! I designed it myself a few years ago and have worn it almost every day since. It is my way of carrying my stories with me, sparking curiosity and connection wherever I go.
The Starhat features the star map from my trilogy, with constellations that are entirely my own creation. While they’re not real, I’ve ensured they are scientifically accurate!
My Journey as a Composer
I started composing on my own at the age of 5, using an old keyboard my mom had lying around, collecting dust. Growing up in a small town where opportunities were few, many doubted I could achieve much. Even so, at some point, I even dreamed of becoming an astrophysicist, but high school physics quickly reminded me that the stars might be better left to the experts!
Despite the challenges, my passion for music never wavered. I always knew I wanted to reach for the stars and create something that could inspire or change someone – even if it was just one person.
Towards the starry sounds
✦Born in 2003, grew up in Uusikaupunki, Finland.
✦Started classical piano lessons at the age of 7, later taking up singing, baroque recorder and viola.
✦Performed first composition at the age of 8, first 30-minute musical theater work at 16, full-lenght composition concert at 18, live performance of a symphony orchestra piece at 20 and first short film scored at 21.
✦Received first major composition commission for the Crusell-Week Festival in 2024.
✧Graduated from Turku Conservatory of Music with a vocational degree in Music Technology.
✧Currently continuing composing studies at Turku Conservatory of Music.
